To create this opal ring in solid silver 925/1000 (14.8 grams) I used the lost wax casting technique.

Before becoming a jewel I sculpted it entirely in wax in order to melt it in silver.

I then applied the patina so that my work has even more relief.

Set with an Opal (10.71 carats) this ring in solid silver 925/1000 (47.3 grams) and Gold 750/1000 (12.6 grams).

This piece in silver ages or the gold is shiny giving it a unique raw effect reinforced by its stone and its shape.

The gold is melted on the silver like lava that would cover the walls of a volcano.

To achieve this effect the gold is heated to more than 1000 ° to fuse with the silver, I particularly like this technique which gives a surprising result each time.

For the finish the silver is patinated, aged voluntarily, the gold contrasts with its shine, the unique effect is reinforced by the raw aesthetics of the ring.
