Geologic Stones...

€950.00 Price

Set with a star Ruby with a beautiful brilliance (3.37 carat).

The gold is melted on the silver like lava covering the walls of a volcano.

To make this ring, the gold is heated to over 1000° to fuse with the silver, I like this technique which gives a surprising result every time.

For the finish, the silver is patinated, the gold contrasts with its brilliance, the effect is reinforced by the raw aesthetics of the ring.

The King of Precious Stones, the Ruby, embodies passion. Since time immemorial, the ancient Indians have seen in the Ruby an eternal fire.

They were worn by the Burmese as a talisman Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a poem in the 19th century in which the ruby is described as a "frozen drop of wine from the casks of Eden".

Geologic Stones...

This solid silver ring is set with a black diamond, a gem with unusual characteristics.

Scientists have long debated the circumstances of the appearance of this stone.

Today, the main theory of researchers is that this diamond would come from a collision between our planet and an asteroid dating back hundreds of millions of years (2.6 to 3.8 billion years BC). The debris caused by the collision would have spread in the atmosphere and would have landed in Africa as well as in Brazil. This black gem is therefore distinguished from other diamonds whose origin is volcanic and makes us dream because of its genesis and its components.

The final rendering is unique, the lines are light but marked by the work of the metal.

To create this solid silver ring (27.3 grams) I used the lost wax casting technique.

Before becoming a jewel I sculpted it entirely in wax using as the only tool a saw with each time a different cutting angle, I made different layers in order to melt it in silver. a unique, raw work highlighted by the brilliance of the opal mainly.

I then applied the patina so that my work has even more relief.

The characteristic of the "Galaxy" opal from the Magdalena region is that it is always in its gangue of volcanic rock.

It presents many flashes of color, red, green, orange with each movement of the opal, beautiful iridescence illuminates the opal from the inside, an amazing spectacle !!
