French Collection
It was created in the style of origami.
To begin, I stretch the metal to form an oval plate, then I fold the two sides to shape the edges and insert the piece, finally I bend the resulting strip to make a ring.
For the finishing touches, a beautiful hammered effect and an aged patina that brings out the hollows and roughness of this piece of jewelry.
This ring, made of 925/1000 silver, weighs 14.44 grams and was born from this idea.
An idea that allowed me to create a 1.9 cm wide ring, simple, light despite its massive appearance, which I think will be perfect for those who don't like heavy signet rings but appreciate bold statement rings.

In this Krazy Stones collection, Anthony Barrouyer creates jewelry from French coins "La Semeuse" made of silver.
For historical context, it is important to note that the exact origin of currency is difficult to pinpoint, but gold and silver have been used as a means of exchange since 4000 BC.
As for "La Semeuse," she was introduced in 1887 and her effigy appeared during the IIIrd, IVth, and Vth Republics, including among the three French models of the Euro. In 1887, the renowned engraver Oscar Roty created a medal for the Ministry of Agriculture, but the project was left unfinished. Eight years later, Paul Doumer, the Minister of Finance, chose Oscar Roty to engrave new coins to create "An unprecedented currency [...] in line with new and Republican ideas of France." The engraver used the effigy from the agricultural award, transforming its rural aspect into an idealized representation. This image sparked controversy as some believed the woman sowing seeds symbolized "disorder, anarchy, and weeds," while the true intention was to illustrate the spread of Republican ideas by France to the world and the spirit of liberty. This concept aligns perfectly with the spirit of Anthony Barrouyer's Krazy Stones creations.
