Geologic Stones Collection
925/1000 Silver Ring (12.6 grams) and 750/1000 Gold (3.2 grams).
The gold is melted onto the silver like lava covering the walls of a volcano.
To create this ring, the gold is heated to over 1000°C to fuse with the silver. I particularly enjoy this technique as it always yields a surprising result.
For the finish, the silver is patinated, intentionally aged, while the gold contrasts with its brilliance. The unique effect is enhanced by the raw aesthetic of the ring.

Geology, a science whose main object of study is the Earth, encompasses multiple disciplines. Anthony Barrouyer's collection of rings associated with this theme also presents a style of jewelry with a common spirit but different characteristics. The rings, pendants, and bracelets are made of solid silver with a legal fineness of 925/1000 sometimes combined with gold with a legal fineness of 750/1000, with or without semiprecious or precious stones. For some creations, the aesthetics achieved through the work on angles, hollows, and openings in the metal evoke the physiognomy of rocky landscapes, cliffs, crevices, steep and rugged terrains marked by the erosion of time.
Sometimes, the striations in the metal of the ring recall the layering of geological sedimentary rocks that can be observed in rocks. Other pieces of jewelry in 925/1000 silver and 750/1000 gold may resemble volcanic activity, specifically the appearance of volcanic rocks after an eruption, such as slag, where metals seem to have fused or melted, or even exploded under extreme heat.
Pendants from the Krazy Stones collection may evoke plate tectonics, with the superposition of different pieces of 925/1000 silver giving a geometric yet asymmetrical style.
Finally, for other pieces, all unique as I mentioned, there is a reference to speleology, more specifically stalactites and stalagmites, forming and evolving in caves. Their shapes are irregular, elongated, and sometimes they seem to come together to form columns.
As you have understood, the Geologic Collection is a visual journey, with a raw and distinctive style where the aesthetics of the jewelry highlight the physical history of our complex and secretive planet.
