To create this solid 925/1000 silver ring (26.9 grams), I used the lost wax casting technique.

The plate measures 2.5 cm x 1.8 cm

Before becoming a piece of jewelry, I completely sculpted it in wax using only a saw, cutting at different angles each time, and creating different layers to melt it into silver.

Subsequently, I applied a patina to give my work even more dimension.

For perfect comfort, select your finger size when ordering, and I will adjust the ring in my workshop before sending it to you.

Geologic Collection - Solid Silver and Amber Rings

Material: Solid Silver 925/1000
Stone: Amber (3.4 carats)
Weight: 33.5 grams

Geology, a science whose main object of study is the Earth, encompasses multiple disciplines. Anthony Barrouyer's collection of rings associated with this theme also presents a style of jewelry, with a common spirit but different characteristics. The rings, pendants, and bracelets are made of solid silver at the legal fineness of 925/1000 sometimes combined with gold at the legal fineness of 750/1000, with or without semi-precious or precious stones. For some creations, the aesthetics achieved through the work of angles, hollows, and openings in the metal evoke the features of rocky landscapes, cliffs, crevices, steep slopes, marked by the erosion of time.

Sometimes the streaks in the ring's metal recall the layering of geological sedimentary rocks that can be observed in rocks. Other jewelry pieces in 925/1000 silver and 750/1000 gold may resemble volcanic rocks, specifically the appearance of volcanic rocks after eruption, such as scoria, where metals seem to have fused or melted, or even shattered, under extreme heat.

Pendants from the Krazy Stones collection may evoke plate tectonics, with the superimposition of different pieces of 925/1000 silver giving a geometric but asymmetrical style.

Finally, for other pieces, all unique as I mentioned, there is a reference to speleology, more specifically to stalactites and stalagmites, forming and evolving in caves. Their shapes are irregular, elongated, and sometimes they seem to come together to form columns.

As you have understood, the Geologic Collection is a visual journey, with a raw, distinctive style where the aesthetics of the jewelry underline the physical history of our complex and secretive planet.
