Geologic Stones Collection
Wearing a silver and Coober Pedy opal ring is displaying a piece of Australian geological history.
The rarity and beauty of these opals make them even more precious.
Australian opal is globally recognized for its exceptional quality and vibrant colors.
The Coober Pedy mine, located in the heart of South Australia, is particularly famous for its high-quality opals.
These gems can display a range of colors from blue and green to red and orange, creating spectacular reflections and sparkles.
Opal is often associated with creativity and imagination, making it a sought-after choice for jewelry intended to mark special occasions.

Geology, a science whose main object of study is the earth, encompasses multiple disciplines. Anthony Barrouyer's collection of rings associated with this theme also presents a style of jewelry with a common spirit but different characteristics. The rings, pendants, and bracelets are made of solid silver at a legal fineness of 925/1000, sometimes combined with gold at a legal fineness of 750/1000, with or without gemstones. For some creations, the aesthetics achieved through the work of angles, hollows, and openings in the metal evoke the physiognomy of rocky landscapes, cliffs, crevices, rugged terrain marked by the erosion of time.
Sometimes the striations in the ring's metal recall the layering of geological sedimentary rocks that can be observed in rocks. Other jewelry pieces in 925/1000 silver and 750/1000 gold can resemble volcanism, specifically the appearance of volcanic rocks after an eruption, such as slag, where metals seem to have fused or melted, or even shattered due to extreme heat.
Pendants from the Krazy Stones collection may evoke plate tectonics, with the superimposition of different pieces of 925/1000 silver giving a geometric yet asymmetrical style.
Finally, for other pieces, all unique as I remind you, there is a reference to speleology, specifically stalactites and stalagmites, forming and evolving in caves. Their shapes are irregular, elongated, and at times they seem to come together to form columns.
As you have understood, the Geologic Collection is a visual journey, with a raw and distinctive style where the aesthetics of the jewelry highlight the physical history of our complex and secretive planet.
